Pharmaceutical Industry

The new cyclones work unbelievable well!

Problem: A maximum amount of the sucked in pharmaceutical substances had to be collected. The previously used traditional cyclones had an insufficient efficiency, thus they were loosing a lot of the valuable product. The specific aerodynamics of the given particles made them even harder to collect.
Solution: A two-stage SuperCyclone chain has been developed for a pharmaceutical company dealing with collecting airborne allergenic substances.

Maritime Industry

With the aim of preventing air pollution from ships, the Environmental Protection committee adopted in 1997 the MARPOL Annex VI - Regulations for the Prevention of Air Pollution from Ships. This regulation limits the main air pollutants contained in ships exhaust gases. In the light of technological improvements, a revised MARPOL Annex VI entered into force on 1 July 2010. It progressively reduces the emissions on SOx, NOx and particulate matter and introduces emission control areas (ECAs).

The limits applicable in ECAs for SOx and particulate matter were reduced to 1.00% beginning on 1 July 2010; being further reduced to 0.10%, effective from 1 January 2015.

Regulation 16 of Annex VI (Shipboard incineration) requires offshore incinerators installed on or after 1 January 2000 to meet type approval and operating limits.

CentriClean Systems provides an effective technology which allows shipowners to significantly reduce the emissions from their shipboard incinerators.

Problem: Due to environmental regulations, emissions from the on-board incinerator had to be reduced. The emissions of 2.5 µm particle matter had to be cut by at least 50%.
Solution: A PowerSwirl® was developed to handle the airflow of 3.3 m3/s.
Reached efficiency: Testing has shown that the required threshold has been met with a large margin.

Industrial Dust Extractor

Problem: A vacuum dust collector was to be developed, not having the drawbacks of exsisting ones. The previously used vacuum cleaners were using bag filters or cartridge filters, which got clogged regularly and the increased preassure drop reduced the sucking force.
Solution: Vacuum cleaner based on a PowerSwirl® cyclone separator.
Reached efficiency: ~99.0% (Without Hepa filter)
